Punjab Kings 197 for 4 (Dhawan 86*, Prabhsimran 60) beat Rajasthan Royals 192 for 7 (Samson 42, Ellis 4-30) by five runs

The Punjab Kings won two out of two and held off Rajasthan Royals' late-innings assault to end Guwahati’s IPL debut.

Dhawan became the third batter, after Virat Kohli and David Warner, to score 50 runs of 50 or more in the IPL.

A fan  posted a photo of it on Twitter. The caption was "Teams such as RR and PBKS don't matter in IPL. No doubt Star sports highlights the whole day with CSK, MI, and RCB."

The action-packed powerplay began with Jaiswal swatting Curran's first ball into the crowd at deep square legs.

Asif, who had thrown 20 runs from 11 balls to Dhawan in the first over, was run ramped for six more runs in the 19th over. A Dhawan century was possible.
